Ch 5
Row 1:
Sc into second Ch from hook, Sc into each Ch across, Ch 1, turn work (Ch 1 does not count as a St, now and throughout) 4 Sc

Follow according to intended size:

(Newborn) Rows 2-40: Using BLO Sc into second Ch from hook, Sc into each St across, Ch 1,  turn work – 4 Sc
(3-6 Months) Rows 2-44:
Using BLO Sc into second Ch from hook, Sc into each St across, Ch 1, turn work – 4 Sc
(6-12 Months) Rows 2-48:
Using BLO Sc into second Ch from hook, Sc into each St across, Ch 1, turn work – 4 Sc
(12 – 24 Months) Rows 2-52:
Using BLO Sc into second Ch from hook, Sc into each St across, Ch 1, turn work – 4 Sc
(2 – 5 Years) Rows 2-56:
Using BLO Sc into second Ch from hook, Sc into each St across, Ch 1, turn work – 4 Sc
(5 – 8 Years) Rows 2-60:

Finishing (all sizes): Hold first row together with last row worked, Sl St together to join. Note: turn band inside out so that Sl Sts are on inside (conceals seam). Fasten.

 

Bow (one size)

Ch 9

Row 1: Sc into 2nd Ch from hook, Sc into each Ch across. Ch 1 (not a St), turn – 8 Sc

Row 2-6: Using BLO Sc into second Ch from hook, Sc into each St across, Ch 1, turn work – 4 Sc

Finishing:

  • Cut 12” from loop on hook, weave tail ends to center (shown).
  • Pinch center of square, wrap longest tail around 10 times.
  • Tie tail ends together on one side (to conceal knot), fasten.
  • Using long tails, tie bow to band at the seam (to conceal), cut excess.
